Saint Francis enters the tournament as the #1 ranked team and only undefeated team left in the country at 33-0. Two signature wins both came against tenth-ranked Indiana Wesleyan. A dominant offense has largely contributed to the Cougar’s success. In Division II, they rank first in field goal percentage, third in total scoring offense, and tenth in free throw percentage. Senior guard Skylarr Shurn has lead the Cougar’s dominant run, averaging 20.5 points per game. She ranks third in DII with 676 total points. On the defensive end, Sophomore Froward Brooke Ridley leads the team with 64 blocks and 273 rebounds. Saint Francis has an overall tournament record of 24-14 and will be making their 15th trip to the National Championship. Saint Francis has never won the NAIA DII Women’s Tournament.
