The 17th ranked Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs finished their regular season with an overall record of 24-4 and finished first in the Appalachian Athletic Conference with a record of 18-2. The Bulldogs didn’t lose a game from Jan. 2 until they were defeated in the Appalachian Conference tournament by Milligan, ending their 18 game winning streak. Junior Armeka Booker leads the team in both points and rebounds per game with an average of 18.6 points per game and 10.4 rebounds per game. She is closely followed by teammate Cody Houck who averages 13 points per game and 8.6 rebounds per game. Even though Tennessee Wesleyan didn’t participate in the National Championship last year, this will be the Bulldog’s 11th appearance at the Championship overall.
