Clarke University of Iowa enters this year’s National Championship tournament for the first time in program history. After a close win in the MCC tournament championship finals against Mount Mercy University 56-52, the Crusaders landed a spot in the 2015 tournament. With a 20-12 record on the season, 8-4 in conference, the Crusaders ended the regular season in fashion to bring home a conference title. Led by leading scorers Kea Whittington (259 pts.), Breland Prochaska (428 pts.), and Kelsey Ernst (299 pts.), the Crusaders with feature a strong offense that has won them many close games in the regular season. The Crusaders will face second ranked Davenport University in the opening round of the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship on March 11th, at 1:45 PM.
