The Davenport Panthers enter this year’s National Championship tournament as the #2 ranked team in the country. With an impressive regular season, the Panthers steamroll their way into the tournament with a 31-0 record, and are the only undefeated team left in NAIA DII. Led by leading scorers Diana Grazulls (15 ppg) and Tiesha Stokes (10 ppg), the Panthers defeated every opponent they faced by an NAIA-best average margin of 32.6 points a game this season. Averaging 14.3 steals a game and holding opponents to an NAIA-best 48.1 points per game, the Panthers boast a threat to every team on both ends of the court. After losing to College of the Ozarks (MO) last year in the final four, the Panthers, with ten previous program appearances in the tournament, will look to win their first ever National Championship as a program. Davenport has two national runner-up finishes, coming in 2011 and 2013.
