The Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan (Athens, TN) posted a remarkable 28-3 overall record this season, with an 18-3 record in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), earning them a No. 2 seed in the 2015 NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship. The Bulldogs won the AAC outright this year, earning the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament and eventually winning the tournament by beating No. 7 seed Milligan College, 69-43, in the final. Last season, the Bulldogs earned a No. 5 seed in the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship in Sioux City, IA. The Bulldogs did not advance out of the first round, losing to Siena Heights (Mich.) (26-8) by a score of 77-59.
