Caitlin Hein

Caitlin Hein is in her third year at Hastings College with a major in Web Communication Design and Journalism and a minor in Studio Art.

As a freshman in college, Hein became an award-winning newspaper page layout editor and in her second and third years of college she created and managed a media website, www.hcmediaonline.org, that receives thousands of viewers each week.

This is Hein’s second year being apart of the team that covers the NAIA Division II Women’s National Basketball Tournament and her role has been the webmaster for the tournament coverage website, www.mynaiatourney.org.  She is also just starting her second year as a photographer for the Grand Island Independent, where her photographs have been published on the front page for the majority of her assignments.

Hein hopes to pursue a job in journalism or web design upon graduation in May of 2014.
