Jerod Fox is a sophomore broadcasting and political science major at Hastings College. He also enjoys vocal music and piano and would like to minor in music, should his schedule allow.
Hailing from Newton, Kansas, he found love for both journalism and performance arts at a young age. While studying at Newton High School, Jerod was sports editor for the school’s yearbook, “The Railroader,” his sophomore and junior year. His senior year, he took a position as sports editor of the school’s bi-weekly newspaper, “The Newtonian.”
Since starting at HC, Jerod has found active success within the prestigious broadcasting program. He has been a color commentator for HC Media’s productions of football and basketball games, as well as play-by-play for baseball. He was also co-sports anchor for the weekly newscast, Bronco News Now, both semesters his freshman year. As a sophomore, Jerod has assumed the position of social media director for HC Media and looks forward to implementing his ideas in the upcoming year.
Jerod has an avid love for all things sports, especially basketball and tennis. He spends his summers hanging out with his friends and brothers and draining his wallet at the local coffee shop.
Jerod is excited to be back in Sioux City with the rest of the HC Media team for this phenomenal experience.
